 The following are sample itineraries for #1 Itinerary or #2 Itinerary trips. Optional Services available.

Stroll along the waterfront at sundown of the colonial town of La Paz. Spend three days on Magdalena Bay, boating in the middle of mother gray whales and their calves. Marvel at the opportunity to reach out and touch “friendly” gray whales. Snorkel around Espiritu Santo Island and swim with the sea lions near their rookeries. Savor mouth-watering seafood of every variety.

Each fall thousands of gray whales religiously make the 5000 mile migration from the Arctic waters to court, mate and give birth in the sheltered bays and lagoons of Baja California, the best whale-watching waters in the world. Become acquainted with these gentle giants from your special whale watching panga boat. Gray whale sightings can only be described as incredible, and a privileged visit from a “friendly” is a lasting encounter you will always cherish.  This tour begins and ends in La Paz.

 Itinerary # 1 Whale Watching on Magdalena Bay
Rent your own car for two whale-watching sessions with an overnight on Magdalena Bay–
 Day l         Arrive in La Paz, Baja California   Hotel La Concha Resort or Hotel La Perla

Begin your adventure in the peaceful, “untouristy” capital city of La Paz. Enjoy the memorable sunsets, which blend sky, land, and sea as you stroll the lovely beachfront boulevard.  Pick up your rental car.

Day 2         Drive to San Carlos, Whale Watching this Afternoon on Bay, Hotel Brennan

Drive to San Carlos to meet the star attractions of this trip, the Gray Whales on Magdalena Bay.   It will take you between 3-4 hours to drive.  Each fall thousands of gray whales religiously make the 5000 mile migration from the Arctic waters to court, mate and give birth in the sheltered bays and lagoons of Baja California, the best whale-watching waters in the world. Become acquainted with these gentle giants from your special whale watching panga boat. Gray whale sightings can only be described as incredible, and a privileged visit from a “friendly” is a lasting encounter you will always cherish.

Day 3         Second day of Whale Watching in AM  Return to La Paz in PM

Day 4          Depart La Paz

2011 Package price is $545 per person per double room and includes 3 nights lodging, 2 whale-watching excursions, 2 seafood lunches, and the boat.  It does not include car rental, meals not specified in itinerary, plane fare, airport transfers, tips, and trip insurance.   Minimum 2 pax.

Day 2         Tour to San Carlos       Whale Watching  on Bay                    Return to La Paz

Travel to San Carlos to meet the star attractions of this trip, the Gray Whales on Magdalena Bay.   It will take between 3-4 hours each way.  Each fall thousands of gray whales religiously make the 5000 mile migration from the Arctic waters to court, mate and give birth in the sheltered bays and lagoons of Baja California, the best whale-watching waters in the world. Become acquainted with these gentle giants from your special whale watching panga boat for a two-hour observation privilege. Gray whale sightings can only be described as incredible, and a privileged visit from a “friendly” is a lasting encounter you will always cherish.   Tour lasts 6 am to 6 pm.

Day 3               All Day Tour to Cabo San Lucas                      Return to La Paz

Enjoy something different today in taking a day tour 7 am – 7 pm to Cabo San Lucas.  A glass-bottom boat ride around the arch at Cabo San Lucas and a  city tour of Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo and the famous village of Todos Santos (Hotel California is here) is on the agenda today.

Day 4               Depart La Paz

2010 Package price is $500 (USD) per person per double room and includes 3 nights lodging, 1 whale-watching excursion, 1 seafood lunch on Magdalena Bay, the boat, one breakfast and one lunch on the Los Cabos tour with guide.  It does not include meals not specified in itinerary, plane fare, airport transfers, tips, and trip insurance. Minimum of 2 travelers.

Optional Services to basic itineraries:

l. Round trip airport or ferry transfer per person–$35.00 (USD)
2. Additional day for a guided 3.5 hour city tour that includes the cathedral, pottery, weavings, the anthropology museum, the market ( and the aquarium if open) plus your hotel–$110 (USD) per person per double room.
3. Additional day for snorkeling or kayaking to the Holy Spirit Island.  It includes guide, lunch, sodas, water, snorkeling equipment and hotel–$140 (USD) per person per double room.  8am-3pm.
4. Additional day for scuba diving that includes equipment, 2 tanks, lunch, water, sodas, transportation, guide and hotel–$200 (USD) per person per double room.  8am-4pm.
5. Additional day for fishing that includes transport, breakfast, lunch, equipment, water, sodas, a super panga and hotel–$380 (USD) for two people in a double room.

Registration: To reserve a tour, a $300 (USD) deposit per person is required.  The balance is due 60 days out from the departure date.
Refund Policy: the $300 deposit is non-refundable; 60% of the trip balance will be refunded 60-30 days prior to travel; 20% will be refunded 29-15 days prior to travel; $0 (USD) will be refunded less than 15 days prior to travel.
