Experience with us the mystical soul of Mexico--the UNESCO cultural heritage city of Oaxaca. Step into the enchantment of this special corner in southern Mexico. There is something for everyone in Oaxaca: wonderful art galleries, historic architecture, rich culture, Mexican reform era history, popular folk art, and botanical gardens. Walk the ancient pathways of major archeological sites and prepare yourself for fabulous cuisine for the most demanding palate. Remember--pack your apron and cook with Iliana de la Vega, featured in the May 2003, Bon Appetit Magazine.

This trip begins and ends in Oaxaca City.

Remember--In Mexico flexibility is the key. The La Noria Hotel will be our home for the entire trip.

Day 1 -- Arrive in Oaxaca City.

Day 2 -- Private tour to Monte Albán, Arrazola & Zaachila.

Day 3 -- Private Tour to Mitla, Teotitlan & Tule.

Day 4 -- Private Folk Art Village Tour to Coyotepec, Jalietza, & Tilcajete.

Day 5 -- Cooking class with Iliana de la Vega of El Naranjo Restaurant.

Day 6 -- Casa de Juarez Museum. Santo Domingo Museum of Oaxacan Cultures. Women's Regional Craft Museum.

Day 7 -- Botanical Garden tour at Santo Domino Convent. Free time or time to visit museums in the afternoon.

Day 8 -- Depart after breakfast.

2008 Oaxaca Package Price is $1995 (add $300 for a single room). This is an all-inclusive land package: all hotels, all meals, all tours, all tips. The package does not include airfare nor trip insurance.

Registration: To reserve a tour, a $300 deposit per person is required.  The balance is due 60 days out from the departure date.  Refund Policy: the $300 deposit is non-refundable; 60% of the trip balance will be refunded 60-30 days prior to travel; 20% will be refunded 29-15 days prior to travel; $0 will be refunded less than 15 days prior to travel.
